I work with adolescents (12+) and adults who are looking for practical ways to manage emotions, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives so that they can achieve their goals in their sporting context.
My approach is collaborative, structured, and skills-focused. I integrate Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and systematic approaches to help clients build practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships, while also supporting the safe processing of traumatic experiences.
I have a particular interest and experience working with individuals with ADHD and dyslexia. I enjoy helping clients better understand how their brains work, identify their strengths, and develop practical strategies that support learning, organisation, emotional regulation, and confidence.
I take a holistic view of wellbeing and have a strong interest in the connection between physiology and psychology. Understanding how the nervous system responds to stress and threat can help make sense of trauma responses, anxiety, and emotional intensity. I often incorporate this knowledge to help clients recognise their body’s signals and use skills more effectively.
Alongside my clinical work, I have a high level of engagement with community-level hockey, which informs my interest in sports and performance psychology. This experience helps me support individuals navigating pressure, performance expectations, and competitive environments, while strengthening resilience and mental skills.
I aim to create a supportive space where we can work together to understand what’s happening, develop practical strategies, and build lasting skills for wellbeing and performance.
